You are invited to participate in Collective Health Conversations.

We heal as individuals and as a society when we are in relationship. Through these conversations, I hope we can deepen and broaden our ties to one another and to the brilliance of our own bodies.

We can focus on self-care until we're blue in the face, but if we don't address systemic oppression - sexism, racism, ableism, and others -, healing will be elusive. We are amidst a powerful culture shift. How can we participate? What do each of us have to offer? And how can we heal ourselves as we move towards the world we want to live in?

Let's connect with each other over topics that matter. Let's nurture our own healing as well as healing for those we don't know or don't understand.

If you love to learn and are interested in both connection and community, then you just have to participate.

It's free. It's virtual, so you can participate in your jammies.

Sometimes the conversations will be rooted in a particular book or article, sometimes we'll just show up for conversation. Just show up as you are.

We'd love to have you join us.

WHAT WE'RE LEARNING ABOUT NOW:

Thrilled to have

Nicole Lee, Esq.

 and

Lindsay Pera

join us as our guests!

For our eighth Collective Health Conversation, we'll be talking with Nicole Lee, founder of Inclusive Life, and Lindsay Pera, founder of Mystics Society.

In the midst of social and political chaos, we need to find refuge, but hiding our heads in the sand is not refuge, it's avoidance. Avoidance actually doesn't provide relief, although it may temporarily band-aid over the fear. Avoidance creates anxiety of its own.

Yet if we're directly facing into the storm without a way to stay grounded, it's easy to become reactive and defensive, which are both natural responses to fear. In general, we don't make very good decisions when we're afraid.

Nicole has said, "Relief is IN the work." The relief comes from developing skills and stamina to face reality, even if that reality is overwhelming.

In these times, the call is to develop resilience, stamina and a vision for what we can create beyond the present.

In this conversation with Nicole and Lindsay, two professionals who are helping their own communities and clients develop political analysis and spiritual depth respectively, we'll be talking about how to ground yourself spiritually and politically. This isn't an either/or.

Nicole writes, "There's too much to do to have our hearts disconnected from our actions. To find the best solutions, we must have political people seeking more spiritual ground and spiritual people seeking more political grounding."

How do we bring attention and rigor to both our individual, internal development and our political development?

How are we going to make it through?

That's what I want to know. What about you?

And while I don't think that either Nicole or Lindsay have the answers, I do believe they are lighting a path and they're not alone.

I would be thrilled to have you join in this most pressing and important conversation.
