A Year of Living Mindfully.

This past year, we’ve immersed ourselves in the world of nutrition, educating ourselves, building awareness, and giving ourselves space to notice how we assimilate the information and practices. We’ve learned that kindness is essential. We’ve built a foundation.

This year, we're going to move more deeply into both the science and the spirit of health. We'll apply on a deeper and more detailed level the concepts we explored last year. We'll delve into the nitty gritty of things like building a medicine cabinet, detoxing our self-care and home products, working with essential oils, understanding anxiety and depression.

With compassion and mindfulness, we'll learn how to move through those places where we feel stuck, working to integrate and love and heal those parts of ourselves where there’s resistance.

We'll move further along the road of health, empowerment and uncovering our own unique bad-assery.

So very excited to have the privilege of another year together.

What to expect?

  • 11 monthly meetings, with support, education and food/recipes to support your growth, focusing on both the science and intuition of health
  • 3 -4 of these meetings will feature guest speakers focusing on transformational coaching, intuitive growth, hormone balancing and possibly essential oils
  • Areas of study will be more “systemic”: hormone health, immune strengthening, anxiety/depression/mood/memory
  • Quarterly hiking, health field trips and camaraderie (optional)

POWER & PURPOSE begins February 2019. Sessions are offered on the second Wednesday of the month with the exception of holiday (like Valentine's!) and school schedule conflicts. Dates subject to change.

You might think that a nutrition expert might be intimidating. That is what I thought! I like my Honey Nut Cheerios and coffee and I know better! But judging my poor decisions is not what I get from Laura Halpin. She meets me where I am. I have done several classes with Laura and I learned so much about what works for me. I also participated in A Year of Living Mindfully, and am currently a part of Soul Food (renamed POWER & PURPOSE). My monthly meeting with a circle of women and Laura at the helm is a way to connect with what is important and to take care of myself post-cancer diagnosis in a way that is nurturing and happy.
