This is going to be so much fun. Who doesn't love a good book and an opportunity to discuss and explore ideas?

The purpose of this health book club is to help you build a sense of competence and empowerment when it comes to your health.

Not only will you be building a health foundation,  you will also have a guide (me) to help you explore the concepts and the practical applications of the information. At times, our book club meeting will include the author of our book choice. By participating, you will also be part of a community of like-minded people. We can support and learn from one another. How great is that?

If you love to learn and are interested in both the science and the spirit of nourishment, then you just have to participate.

It's free. It's virtual, so you can participate in your jammies.

Initially, we will shoot for one book every two months. We'll see how it goes and adjust accordingly

DRUM ROLL, PLEASE!

Our first selection will be A Mind of Your Own by Kelly Brogan, MD.

One in four women in the U.S. begin their day with medication for anxiety and depression. Is this alarming, or what?

According to Kelly Brogan, these drugs not only overpromise and underdeliver, but their use may permanently disable the body's self-healing potential.

Dr. Jeffrey Bland, the father of functional medicine, says, "Anyone reading this book will come away with a scientifically based, safe, and effective approach to mental health without the use of drugs."

Sara Gottfried, MD, author of The Hormone Cure, says, "A Mind of Your Own will change how you approach your health and mental well-being."

This book is an excellent and provocative read, begging for discussion, and I'm so excited to read it with you!
